McCafé is a new trademark of McDonald and it’s a new product line on coffee. Of cause, coffee can’t stand alone, and they have tea, cakes, biscuits on side. This is a new McCafé branch in Genting Highlands.

This is the macaroon that I bought. This is promotional pack. Well, as mentioned earlier, it has assorted flavours on the macaroon, which are green tea pistachio, caramel, orange chocolate, vanilla and raspberry. I love the texture. The macaroon is airy and chewy, not taste too sweet. Love! And according to the staff, it’s made in Paris. Its gimmick I guess. However, the taste is great. Pistachio flavour is the best for me!

Dinner at Bubbles & Bites

As I mentioned earlier, I like to hang out in Bubble and Bite (BB) because the nice food and rustic ambience. As I promised earlier, I did promise that I’ll introduce more nice food in BB. Here you go!

Club Sandwich Salad RM20

This was my very first time to try this club sandwich salad. It consists of beef bacon, parmesan cheese, romaine lettuce, onion, hard-boiled egg, chicken ham and cherry tomatoes! It was serving with balsamic vinegar and olive oil. Big portion as well. Nice!!!

Peri-Peri Chicken Wings RM22

This is fried chicken wings serving with the peri-peri chilli sauce. I love the chilli sauce very much. It doesn’t seem strange if you tried Nando’s Chicken before. The chilli sauce is exactly the same and it taste spicy and sour. Matching with well marinated fried chicken wing, recommend to all peri-peri lovers!

Aglio Olio Spaghetti RM19

I love this very much! It tasted absolutely delicious. Aglio olio is a dish that emphasize on garlic and olive oil. Aglio is garlic and olio refers to olive oil. Little bit spicy and the garlic smell fragrant. Thumb up!

New York Spaghetti with Meatballs RM25

Spaghetti in tomato sauce matching with meatballs. The portion is big enough. Not much surprise on this. Beef meatballs tasted a little bit heavy. Overall, not bad.

Recommendation of the day: Skinny Dip

It consist of banana, strawberry, strawberry yogurt, and so on… I love the taste, little sweet and sour… and it smell good indeed! For those who love strawberry very much, you must try this and you would love this for sure!

Another restaurant in Genting to recommend! Good Friend Restaurant is a Chinese restaurant and located next to the Good Friend Express and opposite to the Ming Ren Restaurant… Good Friend Restaurant is actually considered quite affordable…

Good Friend Restaurant serve Hakka dishes… if you're Hakka cuisine lover, you got the right place… Good Friend Restaurant not only serve round table meal… also serve a la carte… like Hakka noodles, dessert and so on…

Good Friend Restaurant only opened three times a day, which mean they only opened for three sessions a day, which are breakfast, lunch and dinner… if you're looking for supper or afternoon tea session, you can go to the Good Friend Express, where's the express restaurant…

The most attractive to me is the desserts actually… Almond jelly, Chinese herbal jelly, pandan flavor glutinous ball are actually my favourites in Good Friend Restaurant… thumb up!

Fried Pork Belly RM33

This is fried pork belly… I love this very much as the pork belly was well fried and its crispy… the belly they're using are three layer pork belly, in Chinese we so called it 五花腩~ and the pork belly was marinated with Chinese unique bean paste, so called 南乳… the taste is unique and this is the Hakka signature dish…

Stir Fried Long Bean & Eggplant with Minced Pork and Salted Fish RM18.50

This is stir fried minced pork with long bean and egg plant. It consists of long bean, minced pork, eggplant and salted fish. It tastes great. A little spicy and salty enhance the taste of the egg plant and long bean. Perfect match with rice!

Almond Jelly RM4.50

This is the almond jelly… my all-time favourite… almond jelly taste sweet and smooth and soft… almond jelly is served with cream, and it taste smooth and silky… almond lover must try this…

Chinese Herbal Jelly RM4.50

Chinese herbal jelly is nice… taste a little bit sweet originated from the herbal itself… it's served with a pack of honey… and now the honey was lying in my room…

The New Orleans @ Casino de Genting

In Genting Highland, you can find a continental restaurant seldom, because there are only few continental restaurants, like Bubble and Bites, The Olive, The New Orleans, and more coming soon. I visited Bubble and Bites for quite many times, and have been updated in my blog. So now, I’m going to recommend another continental restaurant in Genting Highland, where you can find it in the Monte Carlo casino. THE NEW ORLEANS RESTAURANT. The restaurant location is a little bit remote, because its located inside the Monte Carlo casino and inside the Latte Monte gaming area.

The interior design is a little old school and you can see for the Genting Mountain View and theme park view thoroughly in the restaurant. But, you are only able to see the Mountain View and the theme park is currently under construction. Nice ambiance at night.

The Menu. They serve appetizer, soup, house grills, salad, dessert, side, specialties and so on.

Mixed Grills RM 98

The Mixed Grills is for two people portion since the portion consists of 2 chicken sausages, 2 grilled chicken wings, 2 honey grilled pork rib, 2 steaks (beef), and 2 lamb rack with herb. It also served with a side dish and some buttered veggie. You can choose any one of three choices of side dishes which are potato wedges, creamy mashed potato and French fries. I picked creamy mashed potato. It also served with bread. I can’t really finish the bread because the food portion is very big for me. Again, you can choose any one of four choices of sauce served on side, which are barbeque sauce, black pepper sauce, French mustard, and mushroom sauce. I personally like the French mustard sauce very much. Of cause, if you wishing to have 2 sauces to serve on side, you can request and its normally no problem to make it.

Sautéed Mushroom RM12

I love this Sautéed Mushroom very much. Button mushroom is sautéed with butter and herbs. The fragrant of the butter is perfectly matched with the herb and mushroom. This is awesome and don’t missed it anyway.

Fish and Chips RM23

Not much idea about fish and chips. I personally don’t like the fish because it was a little bit oily and the fish was coated with a thick batter. Fries is normal.

Pork Chop RM20

Pork chop is a little bit chewy, and as mentioned earlier, you can pick any one of the side dishes and sauce to serve on the side. Taste normal.

Assorted Bangers and Mash RM28

Bangers and Mash is actually known as sausages and mash, it’s actually a traditional British Isles dish made of mashed potato and sausages. The latter of which may consist of a variety of flavoured sausage made of pork or beef or a Cumberland sausage. This assorted Ban and Mashed is served with three different types of sausages. I’m not a sausage lover and thast why I don’t really like this very much. But this does taste good!

Well, there’s a free flow for mineral water and coffee in THE NEW ORLEANS. But anyway, you have to take the water yourself. My dinner was ended up with a nice chit chat in a very nice ambience. Music was playing around and the night was peaceful.

Its BAKERY again… after a long tiring day, its the time to have some dessert to delight your day~

Strawberry Cheese Cupcake RM10.50

This strawberry cheese cupcake really got my attention at first sight… red and juicy strawberry on top a petty cheese cupcake ~ It looks lovely right? And it tasted good! Not to sweet and moist texture… Good to try… besides, there are a few options, which are Green Tea Cheese Cupcake and Blueberry Cheese Cupcake…

Tiramisu RM14.50

Second, this was the second dessert I picked for my day… Well, not impressive and its just an ordinary tiramisu…

Signature Hot Chocolate RM14.50

Well, this is not the first time I ordered the signature hot chocolate… as you can see, this is really nice and tasty to me… rich chocolate combines with full cream milk, I know its very fattening… and you an definitely no regret about this… strongly recommend to all cocoa lover…

There are variety of choice to be chosen. There's a daily promotion if i'm not mistaken, which is buy 2 at 1 price. The promotion is start from 9.00pm onward. 

Bubbles & Bites ● Genting Grand Hotel

Bubble & Bites is a continental bistro and it's located in between Ming Ren and Imperial Rama… the decorations are mainly in purple color… you can just come and enjoy a casual continental cottage cuisine in a relaxing and rustic ambiance… especially during the night~

This is the environment. Relaxing and rustic. The in-house decoration is mainly purple color, it's a very romantic color right? The view outside the window is the entrance of Genting Grand Hotel. 

This is another side of the restaurant, so called couch seat. It's cosy and ideal for catch up session.

Bud Spencer Breakfast RM29

Bud Spencer Breakfast is actually an all-day breakfast… two poached egg is placed on top of the stewed beef (if I'm not mistaken), potato and caramelized onion~ the taste is good… stewed beef matching with the caramelized onion and serve with two pieces of bread… the combination is just nice… The tenderness of the beef is just perfect… this would be great especially to those beef lover!

English Classic Breakfast RM28

I was absolutely attracted by this classic breakfast and it was showed on the restaurant's slideshow… Rocket salad, sausage, beef bacon, baked bean, bread, mushroom, and cheesy omelette! The cheesy omelette is absolutely awesome and delicious! There are two options for the sausage, which are chicken and beef! To those who take beef, I would strongly recommend the beef sausage to you as the texture is great and you can taste the spices of the sausage. It’s just a little spicy and it taste great indeed!

Caesar Salad RM20

I love this Caesar salad very much as the ingredients are extremely fresh! It consists of baby lettuce, rocket, hard-boiled egg, smoked salmon, croutons, beef Bacon, Parmesan cheese and more… Well, all the ingredients are actually my all-time favorites… It's serving with olive oil and balsamic vinegar and the taste is absolutely fantastic… (Oh well, did you ever notice the dressing bottle's design, it's absolutely very unique to me! The Balsamic vinegar is filled inside the olive oil. Well, I have to tell that you have to pour the vinegar and oil separately. Don't you think the bottle's design and the idea is brilliant? ) For this Caesar salad, the portion is big, and I can't really finish it unless I take it as an main course instead of appetizer.

Bundaberg Rootbeer RM17

I'm rootbeer lover and this is absolutely great! It's a MUST-TRY item! (I found it selling cheap in Singapore and its just S$2.30 in Singapore's 7-Eleven!)

Bubbles & Bites claimed that they didn't use any MSG… The ingredients are absolutely fresh and no artificial ingredients… Last but not least, Bubbles & Bites also selling sparkling wine and the wine miniature as well… Sincerely recommend to those continental food lovers like me!!

Boost is a juice bar that originated from Australia… and they claim that they only using the best quality ingredients… Besides, they guarantee do not use any artificial or fake ingredients~ if you're looking for something healthy, I think this would be the ideal for you…

I just heard about Boost lately…and I immediate fall in love with it… I used to have my meal outside and I always wish to have something that really fresh and "clean"… I fall in love with Boost after my first tried and I almost having it once every two days or even daily…

They provide variety of choice… Soraya's Favourite and Vita C Detox are always my choices!

They stated down the ingredients they're using for the juice making… I feel this is good to let everybody know what the ingredients are and the making process is so transparent…

This is the booster… The energise booster… And according to their employee, this would boost up the "energy" and "power" of the juice…

They do sell titbits… chocolate, yogurt, and energy bar and so on…

This is the size from the beverage… the kid bottle is so cute and there are a few choices to be chosen… RM7.50 is just for the bottle and RM11 is for bottle and filled with juice…

Soraya's Favourite RM12.50++

This is my choice for today… Soraya's Favourite… consists of mango, green tea, mango nectar, vanilla yogurt, sorbet and ice… I love the taste and it taste like mango yogurt drink… I would recommend this to those who love yogurt drink…

This was the choice from yesterday… (Seems like I take Boost for as my daily beverage…hehe~) This is Vita C Detox… the ingredients consist of orange, apple, carrot and Ginger… Ginger? Yes! It’s Ginger! I'm that kind who doesn’t like Ginger, because gingers taste spicy and strong… But trust me, as part of the ingredients for Vita C, the taste and smell of Ginger is absolutely match with each other and it's never awkward! Thumb up for such amazing and new combination!

And actually they're doing promotion! It's "what's ya name game"! It’s a new concept of promotion I guess… they'll renew the name everyday, yes; it’s your name, as long as you have anything to proof that the name of the day is actually similar with your name, then you'll be given a free beverage from Boost! Up to your choice! Cool right?

Bakery ☆ Genting Grand Hotel

As an intern here, I've given a lot of chances to enjoy a lot of nice food here. So, I've chosen Bakery as my first review for the restaurant in Genting.

BAKERY is located at the Genting Grand Hotel lobby. It's just next to the Genting Grand reception counter and opposite of Coffee Terrance. 

The ambiance in BAKERY is not bad. Not too noisy and not too crowd, The lighting is soft and a bit dim at night. Good as you can hang out with your friends here, or just having a light meal of high tea sessions here.

Everything is shown on the menu board at the cashier. Bread, sandwiches, cakes, beverage, and so on. The waiter and waitress are nice as they would recommend greets you and wait patiently for your order. However, it's only available during "low season". Sometimes, they're extremely busy. So, please be understanding.

Turkey and Onion Quiche RM8

Generally,quiche is a open-faced pastry crust with custard filling. Quiche is probably filled with cheese, meat, seafood, vegetable and so on. There are variety of combinations on quiche's filling. This is Turkey and Onion Quiche and it is creamy. I don;t really like processed food like hot dog sausage and ham. The texture is creamy. Great if it's served hot.

Mushroom Quiche RM8

I'm a mushroom lover. This tastes nice to me. The quiche is served with a small portion of rocket salad. I don't really like rocket due to the taste. But so far, it's a nice and tasty combination to serve quiche with rocket salad,

Signature Hot Chocolate RM13.50

The signature hot chocolate is unique. The waiter will provide you a cup of hot milk and few chocolate sticks. To make this unique signature hot chocolate, user have to put the chocolate sticks into the hot milk and the chocolate melts. Stir slowly until the chocolate is totally melted in the milk.

And this is the outcome. The signature hot chocolate is a little bit not rich to me. However, the texture is good! Creamy and chocolaty, And I think it's a great idea and gimmick to let the uses stir the chocolate on their own.

Signature Double Hot Chocolate RM16.50

This is the take away version of signature DOUBLE hot chocolate.Double hot chocolate is rich and its more creamy. Recommended to those chocolate lover.
