An Overview of Siam Reap and Phnom Penh

Cambodia, a developing country that surrounded by Thailand, Laos and Vietnam. You have no idea about where is it? Look at it.

The capital city of Cambodia is Phnom Penh and Siem Reap is the popular resort town as the getaway to Angkor region. I've done a little survey before heading there. Phnom Penh, the capital and the Siem Reap are the tow major town to explore. The living cost is Cambodia is not high and that would be a good destination to explore for budget traveler.

There are 2 seasons in Cambodia, which are the drought and the rain season. Drought season is starting from November to April when the peak season is falling from November to January. From November to January, the weather is soothing and windy and very recommended to travel during this season. Moreover, April would be the hottest month throughout the year and the temperature would goes up to 40 degree Celsius.  The rain season is during May to October. The temperature is around 25 to 35 degree Celsius and it's probably raining everyday.

In Cambodia, the traditional Khmer massage is a must do activity. It is quite likely with the Thai massage but mild. Khmer massage helps to enhance the blood circulation and relieve the tiredness. SPA is a not bad idea in Cambodia too.

The low GDP causes poverty. Women and children are always sacrificed. In Combodia, schooling for the children is not granted and some of them might not able to go to school due to the poverty. However, there are some organisation in Cambodia are helping all these children to make a living. Rajana, Artisans D'Angkor, Butterflies Garden Restaurant, Sobbhana Boutique are some of the organisations in assisting all these children and women who suffering from the poverty.

Rajana is a non-profit boutique where selling the wood art, silverware, silk and clothing. Rajana provides the training for the locals and encourage the fair trade system.
